Rules for Sätila Trail

General:
Sätila Trail is primarily a recreational race aimed at showcasing the beautiful nature and cultural environments around Sätila and Lygnern. The goal is also to provide an opportunity for you to compete against yourself, nature, and fellow participants. The following rules are important for your safety – we don’t want you to take unnecessary risks just to save a few seconds.

Safety

  • Participate at your own risk.
  • Be cautious at road intersections – follow traffic rules.
  • Wear visible clothing with reflective materials.
  • Always help fellow participants who have serious problems.
  • Contact the race management if you leave the course or need to withdraw. If you do not inform us and disappear, you may be held responsible for search and rescue costs.
  • The phone number for race management is on the race map and your bib number.

Littering

  • All forms of littering are strictly prohibited. Intentional littering will result in immediate disqualification.

Support

  • Refueling with fluids, energy, and equipment is only allowed at official aid stations.

Time Limits

The finish line closes at 24:00.

Time limits are as follows:
85 km: 18 hours
43 km: 14 hours

Mandatory Equipment

All runners must carry the following equipment during the race. Random checks will be conducted. You need to have the following amount of fluids with you at the start and the container with you throughout the race:

5 & 10 km:

  • A cheerful attitude!

22 km:

  • A cheerful attitude and a bit of determination!

43 km:

  • Fluids for 20 km (minimum 0.15 liters)
  • Energy (minimum 200 kCal)
  • Extra base layer top
  • Extra shell jacket or emergency blanket
  • Compression bandage
  • Whistle
  • Mobile phone
  • Headlamp (not mandatory, but darkness falls after 16:00)

85 km:

  • Fluids for 30 km (minimum 0.2 liters)
  • Energy (minimum 250 kCal)
  • Extra base layer top
  • Extra shell jacket or emergency blanket
  • Compression bandage
  • Whistle
  • Mobile phone
  • Headlamp

NOTE: Be aware that your phone’s battery may not last the entire race, so it’s a good idea to bring a backup battery if you plan to be out for many hours!
